After tabling in Sayles-Hill at Carleton College last Friday and appearing on student run station KRLX, I had the good fortune to play a quick game of Kong Pong, set up in the Bald Spot in the center of campus.
Kong Pong is the invention of Scott Olson, better known as the guy who invented Rollerblades. The clever construction of the table extends the sport of outdoor ping pong to 4 seasons (ok, maybe 3!) with a larger playing surface, weather-proof net and an aluminum base. (Mittens might have to be added as an accessory if holiday sales are brisk.)
I would love to see a couple of tables pop up in neighborhood parks around Northfield someday soon, or maybe on the patio of the Contented Cow!
